Tiffanie was born and raised in Tracy, California. She graduated from Tracy High School in 1990 and got married in 1998 to her husband Eddie. They have been together for 20 years and married for 15. Her husband works in Santa Clara for a high tech company where he is a Senior Buyer. She has 2 beautiful children. Her son Aaron is 12 and he attends New Brighton Middle School and her daughter Torie is 10 and she attends Soquel Elementary.
In June of 2013 her family discussed moving to the Santa Cruz area not expecting everybody to be on board with it. She spent a weekend in the Capitola area dropping off her resume to local offices. North Coast Orthodontics offered her a position on Tuesday and we secured our condo on Wednesday. Everything fully fell into place and she couldn't have been happier!
Tiffanie has been working in the dental profession for 27 years. Tiffanie started working at a dental office part time in high school at age 14. Over the years she obtained a vast amount of knowledge working in both front and back office settings. In 1990 she started working for a private General Dental Practice in Tracy where she was trained as a dental assistant. Tiffanie attended Sac City College in Sacramento where she obtained her x-ray license and coronal polish certificate. In early 1998 she took the R.D.A. written and practical exams given by the Dental Board of California & received my R.D.A. license. Shortly after receiving her license she enrolled in the R.D.A.E.F. (registered dental assistant extended functions) program at U.C.S.F. This was an 8 week extensive program that once she completed & passed the Exam, would entitle her to complete treatment on patients under doctor supervision. These procedures were preventive sealants, final crown and bridge impressions, and finalizing root canal treatment. Tiffanie has worked as an assistant for many years in General Dentistry, Periodontal, and Pediatric Dentistry. In Pediatric dentistry she assisted the doctor with a large amount of oral conscious sedation cases and occasional general anesthesia cases. She has been a back office lead, implemented supply inventory systems, performed OSHA training and trained new hires. Over the years she worked her way through back office and moved to front office as a Treatment Coordinator. With knowledge of how procedures should be done this made the transition very easy for Tiffanie and how to explain treatment to patients in a way they could understand. Her front office experience includes but not limited to verifying insurance benefits, answering phones with heavy call volume, greeting patients, insurance claim submission, and accounts receivables/payables. Having the knowledge with dental insurance like I do makes it easy for me to explain to patients how their dental benefits work for them.
